Default Guild Wars minigames

Short - there will be two new minigames in GW:EN, yeah? In GW:F we got The Dragon Arena and Rollerbeetle Racing and Shing Jea Boardwalk - why they can't stay? They attract yet exactly people playing GW:F. Not everybody must farm in the moment - not everybody playing PvE ATM becouse they completed them already - not everybody playing PvP becouse after little time it's getting booring too.

Everybody wants play GW minigames, but it's not cool when they are avaible only durning events. Must be it so really?

PS I think there are a same posts on this forum but i couldn't find any...

It's been asked for, but Gaile insists that if the events were available year-round, they wouldn't be special anymore.

Bad philosophy in my opinion, as Guild Wars lacks such side-excursions, but I'm not a "professional."

There will, however, be such minigames in GW:EN.

The instant they add minigames for special events, people swarm them, and for longer events like christmas, after a while the participation dies down alot. So stretch it out longer and lesser and lesser will do it and it'll be down to a small niche. I agree with Gaile. The minigames in GWEN however revolve around story telling titles and add to the general direction of the game/journey so of course making them always available is to allow people to progress.

They wouldn't be special as stated AND they would be unused if you could use them anytime and you would never get a team/opponant

I agree that if they were there permanently then participation would be minimal, however I do think they should maybe have them open once a month, for weekends maybe, that way they can be enjoyed more regularly.

The reason why they opt to make stuff like this kind of 'rare' is to keep people playing the game. Let's say someone is totally bored with Guild Wars and hardly ever plays, that person could start playing again with events like this.

But I still think there should be permanent multiplayer minigames in Guild Wars. In Guild Wars, there's all kinds of stuff to do. But all those things take time, like doing a mission or vanquishing. There should be something that you could do quick and it should be fun. There's Random Arenas for that... but that involves fighting. And some people are tired of fighting all the time, they want a change. I'm not sure if the Guild Wars engine allows fun minigames to be implemented without too much hassle, though. But, yeah.

I would like this actully for Scrimmage

Scrimmage doesn't have a huge amount of styles and it would be nice to have these things accessable through scrimmage

Well participation at the Rings dwindles because it bleeds your wallet dry...

This has been suggested multiple times in the suggestion forum At least by me like you could buy a mini-game NPC for the Guild Hall.

Anyway - Gaile is right in this case.. If you make it 'normal', festives + their minigames wouldnt be special either thats a good or bad decision, its true.

I agree with it not being 'special" anymore if they were always there. I always look forward to events with mini games. By the end of the event though, I bored sometimes. If they were available all year round, not many people would be playing all the time, because they would get bored. It is a "mini" game after all, no the full game.

In GWEN there will be mini games involved with the story, which I'm looking forward to.
